The MRC/UVRI and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit is a research institution established under an agreement between the Ugandan and the British Governments, to collaborate in the research of HI V (Human I mmunodeficiency Virus) infection and AI DS (Acquired I munodeficiency Syndrome) in 1988. The Unit is part of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and is hosted at the Uganda Virus Research Institute Entebbe with established outposts in Kalungu, Masaka, and Kampala Districts: 1.
